Amsterdam Environmental Zone

The Amsterdam Environmental Zone Project, based on automated enforcement by Gatsometer, is the first such deplayment in the Netherlands, introduced to keep highly polluting lorries out of the city centre.

Using Dacolian's specially develeoped Intrada ALPR software, the schem has achieved a 95% correct read rate with a low margin or error. The camera reading accuracy tolerates a maximumum deviation of no more than 0.02%, or one error per 5000 registrations. Installation at 38 locations has taken maximum advantage of existing street furniture and avoided disruption of the road surface by deploying Gatso loopless trigger radar (LTR).

Free-flow e-toll in Queensland

Queensland Motorways runs since November 2009 a free-flow tolling system, which does away with toll booth operators. IBM's Identification, Rating and Interoperability Services (IRIS) subsystem picks up the information generated at the roadside and uses stored business logic to execute a series of toll-related transactions. Upon receiving the roadside information, IRIS runs it against an SAP CRM database, within which the solution maintains a comprehensive record of vehicle and owner profile information.

Dacolian's Intrada ALPR back office solution is used to implement the automatic number plate recogntion for the video tolls. The Intrada software is used because it is unique in its capabilities of determining the registration number and the state of origin for all passing vehicles.

REG-SENTRY™ Derwent’s Intelligent ANPR Access Control

Licence plate capture specialists, Derwent have developed a fully automated vehicle access control system which incorporates Intrada software developed by Dacolian.

A complete solution REG-SENTRY™ allows users to up or download number-plate data from any PC using the Sentry-Viewer software to create their own custom White/Black list of permitted/barred vehicles, this data can then be used to trigger a control barrier or gate. A three part system Derwent’s field proven REG™ cameras capture the licence plate of any approaching vehicle and sends that data to the REG-SENTRY™ control box which processes the information, compares it to the list and sends a signal to the access barrier to open or remain closed.
The Sentry Viewer C source code will be released to users for ease of integration into back office applications.
